Zendaya and Tom Holland are taking their relationship to the next level!

The Spider-Man costars, both 28, are engaged, a family source confirmed to PEOPLE. TMZ was first to report the news. According to the outlet, Holland proposed at one of Zendaya's family homes over the holidays.

A separate source told PEOPLE that "everyone close to them knew an engagement was happening" — just not when. The source said Holland had been keen to propose to Zendaya "for a while."

"He's always been crazy about her. He always knew she was the one. They have something very special," the source said, noting that Holland shared the happy news with friends around New Year's.

As for tying the knot, the couple plans to take their time. "They will just enjoy things for now and won't rush a wedding," the source added. "They are both busy with work projects."

In an attempt to stay away from the toxicity of ill-intentioned goals while also pursuing a rebirth of sorts, I offer up a handful of words-as-resolutions, just in time for the new year. 

1. “The Crane Wife” This, as with so many of the things I love, is a thing that bites, a thing that reminds, a thing that reassures. Among the lines I am bringing with me into the new year is this one: “If there were a kind of rehab for people ashamed to have needs, maybe this was it. You will go to the gulf. You will count every wolfberry. You will measure the depth of each puddle.”

2. “What Keeps” I’ll be tucking this treasure of a poem into a pocket somewhere, too, as the year changes. To “lov[ing] in silence,” to letting the art of words sustain us. 

3. Life Is Hard This is a bit of a silly thing, and a personal one at that. It's a philosophy book that was recommended by one of my favorite professors when I was struggling to find the right words earlier in 2024.  It’s still worth revisiting in 2025. Solace or slight, as he says, and learning from both.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! To kick off 2025, I want to share some food-related resolutions I’m testing out.🫶

1. Cutting down on impulse coffee purchases☕

   1. This is rough for me as someone who enjoys getting work done at cafes. The worst thing about this habit is that it not only costs me money, but the drink also is rarely worth the (ever-increasing) price.

2. Trying new things💡

   1. I will never reach for a salad or sandwich I’ve never tried. However, this severely limits my lunch options and keeps my world narrow. For New Year’s, I pledge to try at least one seitan sandwich from the dhall.

3. Sticking to my dietary restrictions🐄

   1. It is way too easy to forget my own lactose intolerance. Unfortunately, this often results in me spending money on things I can’t enjoy much or at all. What a waste!

4. Doing it myself🎨

   1. I love cooking and baking and pretty much everything else I do with my own hands. Though my capabilities are severely limited in a dorm, I’ve hatched a nefarious plan to use my apartment kitchen to its fullest extent next fall. Not only will I (theoretically) save money, I’ll also hone my craft for my two lovely roommates. There is no gesture more loving than an act of service, methinks.

It’s 2025. New year, new me! In the spirit of the ever-so-trendy “clean girl aesthetic” and “pink pilates princess,” here are some of the best Alo workout clothes for making your Pilates class actually bearable. 

The Golden Globes are today. Here are my picks! I admittedly haven’t had time to watch every film on the nomination list, so take my recommendations with a grain of salt.🏆

Timothee has had too much attention this year for him to go home empty-handed.

What other film this year has been transformed into Halloween costumes? Plus, Luca Guadagnino has released banger after banger in the past couple years. 

Best Motion Picture - Animated

 The Wild Robot, Chris Sanders 

Animation that makes people cry is bound for greatness. 

Best Motion Picture – Non-English Language 

The Seed of the Sacred Fig, Mohammad Rasoulof

There was a lot of turmoil around the director’s conflict with the Iranian authorities, but his sacrifice in persevering with this story paid off.

I still can’t believe it’s 2025. I’ve always thought of that as just “The Year I Graduate College,” and now you’re telling me it’s here?! Anyway, here’s my list of music-themed ins and outs for 2025:
