We Can(nes) Do It!

The 78th annual Cannes Film Festival just drew to a close. As always, female celebrities sported the best looks on the red carpet.

Besides the Palm D’Or, the festival’s coveted grand prize won by Jafar Panahi this year, Cannes is known for its attendees’ particularly elegant and glamorous outfits.

Here are some of the festival’s best style moments of 2025 courtesy of the Riveria’s most ravishing beauties.

48 Hours in Miami: Magic, Memories, and 99 Cent Martinis!

I’m writing this from the Miami airport (yes, the Spirit airlines terminal!) after a weekend graduation trip with the girls, and I have so many recs to share! Miami might be most popular during spring break, but don’t let the summer heat stop you from enjoying the sights and sips of South Florida.

Sexy Fish never disappoints with glowing pink mosaics on every surface of the bathroom!

Chug’s Diner: This Cuban favorite is right in the heart of Cocowalk, the dazzling outdoor shopping/arts district in Coconut Grove, just south of Miami. Beyond their famous brunch and cafecito, stop by between 6-7pm from Thursday-Sunday for $0.99 martinis!

Sexy Fish: This opulent Japanese restaurant was, in our opinion, absolutely worth the hype. Come for the jaw-dropping bathroom photos, stay for the crafted fruit cocktails and sushi. I would happily give them my next paycheck!

Miami Design District: Located in Wynwood just north of downtown, Miami Design District is a pedestrian-only luxury shopping area, bursting with palm trees, colorful art, and trendy favorites like DIOR Café Miami. We loved Mia Market, the upscale food hall where we got coffees and unparalleled açai bowls, all for under $14.

Do Not Sit On The Furniture: This sleek nightclub in Miami Beach is perfect for fans of house music and eccentric decor. Plus, it’s just around the corner from Ocean Drive’s strip of art deco clubs and hotels!

Come to Chug’s for the $0.99 martinis, stay for the brunch menu and Cocowalk!

Blue Mare Lifestyle: By far one of the best boat tours I’ve done in a long time! A private boat and captain came out to $75/person for our group, including a 2-hour ride down the river and into the sea to see the sunset across the city skyline with music and snacks.

Honorable Mentions: MILA rooftop lounge and restaurant, Versace Mansion for dinner in Gianni’s house, El Toro Loco Churrascaria, a to-die-for Brazilian spot in Little Havana.

As the temperatures climb, I find myself reaching for clothing items that are easy to move in. Enter silk. I’m currently obsessed with all things high-neck, classy, and elegant. To that end, here are some of my fave silk tops right now.🦪

Lace and Silk Top: $79

Soft Touch Scuba Slash-Neck Tank: $22.50

Sleeveless Cowl Neck Slim Fit Top: $99

Silk Crop Camisole: $79

Cannes Film Festival 2025: And the Palme d'Or Goes To... 🏆

Jafar Panahi

The curtains have officially closed on the 78th Cannes Film Festival, running from May 13-24, 2025, and what a sensational event it was! After nearly two weeks of breathtaking cinema, dazzling red carpet moments, and insightful discussions, the esteemed jury, led by French icon Juliette Binoche, announced the much-anticipated winners.

The top honor, the Palme d'Or, was awarded to Jafar Panahi for "Un Simple Accident" (It Was Just an Accident). This powerful Iranian film, a revenge thriller, captivated critics with its intricate narrative and Panahi's signature courageous filmmaking, especially poignant given his history of challenges with authorities in his home country.

The Grand Prix, the festival's second most prestigious award, went to Joachim Trier's "Affeksjonsverdi" (Sentimental Value). This Norwegian drama, praised for its emotional depth and nuanced performances, was a strong contender throughout the festival.

Oher significant winners from the 78th Cannes Film Festival:

  • Best Director: Kleber Mendonça Filho for "O Agente Secreto" (The Secret Agent).

  • Best Actress: Nadia Melliti for her role in "La Petite Dernière" (The Little Sister).

  • Best Actor: Wagner Moura for his compelling performance in "O Agente Secreto" (The Secret Agent).

  • Best Screenplay: Jean-Pierre Dardenne and Luc Dardenne for "Jeunes Mères" (Young Mothers).

  • Jury Prize (Joint Winners):

    • Oliver Laxe for "Sirât"

    • Mascha Schilinski for "Sound of Falling"

  • Special Award: Bi Gan for "KUANG YE SHI DAI" (Resurrection).

  • Caméra d'Or (Best First Film): Hasan Hadi for "The President's Cake".

The festival also recognized screen legends Robert De Niro and Denzel Washington with Honorary Palme d'Or awards, a fitting tribute to their indelible contributions to cinema.

This year's Cannes once again proved to be a vibrant platform for global storytelling, highlighting diverse voices and pressing themes. Congratulations to all the winners for their outstanding achievements! We eagerly await the opportunity to see these celebrated films reach wider audiences in the coming months.

See you next week!
