Addison Rae: The Ultimate Spring Breaker🧜‍♀️

It’s time to ditch the stuffy sweater and flaunt the beachy it girl fits of your dreams! I would argue that no one embodies this chic free-spiritedness better than Addison Rae.

Ever since her pop star turn, Addison’s Instagram has become a veritable treasure trove of trendsetting looks. Below, I’ve listed five of her most spring break-worthy outfits with appropriately cheeky captions. Sit back, relax, and enjoy!

Does this remind anyone else of Britney Spears’ diamond bra from Victoria's Secret? Invest in some bling to channel your inner pop diva this summer.

The blue feather boa in this shot makes Addison look like she just walked off the set of Mamma Mia. A similarly bold accessory, feathered or otherwise, could make your own spring break outfits similarly unforgettable.

You can’t go wrong with this hot weather classic! In this pic, Addison evokes a few lyrics from peak Katy Perry: “California girls, we’re unforgettable! Daisy Dukes, bikinis on top!”

Sometimes, the best accessory is an unforgettable view. I hope you all experience a stunning vista of your own this spring!

Spring Break Double-Feature: Cancun x Puerto Rico🏝️

The exclusive spring break feature will explore two of the most popular destinations: Cancun, Mexico and San Juan, Puerto Rico! Be wary — you might find yourself in a microcosm of US college students who all have the same idea.

Luminous sunsets from the north side of Cancun’s Isla Mujeres.

CANCUN: Coco Bongo: One of Cancun’s most chaotic places to be, this club has been described as a mix of Cirque du Soleil, DJ sets, audience kiss cams, and dancing until 3:30 AM. Standing room tickets are cheapest — with early arrival you can grab a downstairs seat or a guaranteed table with the Gold VIP pass.

Taqueria Coapenitos: “Tacos al pastor and coapeñitos are something out of this world!!”-- The glowing reviews speak for themselves at this local taco spot. The portions are big, the prices are low, and the location in Puerto Juárez is worth leaving the hotel for.

Confessions: An opulent beach club with glowing lanterns, a hookah and cocktail bar, and “Fuck me, Trust Me, Love Me” in neon letters on the wall! What else is there to say about Confessions… visit this spot in Zona Hotelera for live music, and pay in pesos for lower prices!

Drinks and divas at Cancun’s new Zona Hotelera hotspot, Confessions.

Honorable Mentions: Nature at Isla Mujeres, Isla Contoy, and Cenote Siete Bocas; culture at Las Ruinas de Tulum, shopping at Mercado 28, and Chichén-Itzá, a wonder of the world.

PUERTO RICO🐸

La Factoría is famous for its top-rated cocktails and rooms upon rooms of murals.

La Factoría: In Viejo San Juan, this late-night bar is an eclectic spot for some of the best drinks in the city– try the guanabana and champeta cocktails, and do a lap to see the art in every room!

Antiguo 26: Hidden in a former soda factory is this elevated spot for drinks and bites– Antiguo 26 has a classy vibe you’d want to take photos in, both with the vintage decor and the drinks.

Señor Paleta: This local popsicle chain is unmissable, with every flavor of paletas and toppings including unique Puerto Rican combinations of Tembleque, Turrón and Queso & Guayaba – don’t miss the panoramic sea views across the street while you enjoy the paletas!

La Fortaleza: While La Fortaleza itself is a 16th century fortress, the surrounding streets are some of the most picturesque avenues of Old San Juan, often crowned with rainbow umbrellas, lights, or a 100m Puerto Rican flag.

Honorable Mentions: Beaches like Balneario del Escambrón have calm water and pristine palm trees; La Plaza del Mercado de Santurce is home to a farmers’ market and street food by day, live music by night!

This cannabis startup pioneered “rapid onset” gummies

Most people prefer to smoke cannabis but that isn’t an option if you’re at work or in public.

That’s why we were so excited when we found out about Mood’s new Rapid Onset THC Gummies. They can take effect in as little as 5 minutes without the need for a lighter, lingering smells or any coughing.

Nobody will ever know you’re enjoying some THC.

We recommend you try them out because they offer a 100% money-back guarantee. And for a limited time, you can receive 20% off with code FIRST20.

Saint Patrick’s Day, as you read this, has just passed, and the streets of Boston are no doubt littered with emerald beads and shiny cans crushed underfoot. In the spirit of the holiday, here some readings on luck and what to do with it.

  1. “Just Once” ᯓ★ Anne Sexton writes here that “Just once I knew what life was for. / In Boston, quite suddenly, I understood.” I came to this city when I needed it most; I’ll forgive it for everything else.

  2. “Anora’s American Dream” ୨ৎ This piece isn’t so much about luck as it is a girl who thinks she has it and then realizes, stomach-twistingly, how quickly it all falls apart. Take this as my contribution to the Anora discourse — this and Fisher-Quann’s line that “sometimes, when it gets cold enough, you start to think that it would be stupid to suffer twice.”

  3. The House in the Cerulean Sea 𓆝 𓆟 𓆞TJ Klune’s novel serves as one of the sweetest testaments to the luck and love of found families I’ve ever encountered. “‘If you asked him why they cared about them so, he would tell you it’s because they exist at all’” — talk about tugging on heartstrings.

Waves (2019), Trey Edward Shults

One of my favourite films depicting death and grief is Waves, which was directed by Trey Edward Shults.  The first half of the film follows a suburban man who is portrayed as the protagonist, yet after an accident that causes the death of Alexis, his girlfriend, he is suddenly imprisoned.

I admire this film because it feels like a realistic portrayal of what grief looks like in today’s world. We watch as his suburban community grieves the death of this young girl. Even so, his family is also grieving their son, who has upended both his and their lives with his mistake.

In the second half of the film, the narrative abruptly starts following the daughter of the family instead of the son. Both her and the son have had their future irrevocably altered. If you’re looking for a story of grief and healing that still rings true today, give this movie a watch .

ARTIFICIALLY INTELLIGENT?🤖

Have you ever listened to AI-generated music? I’m not talking about AI song covers that were originally sung by another artist, I’m talking about fully-generated new songs. Artists like Girly Girl Productions have been blowing up on TikTok with their (admittedly catchy) AI-generated music. Some people have strongly criticized the use of AI in any art as it becomes more prevalent, while others are more hesitant to badmouth it and enjoy using it as a tool. What do you think?

How do you feel about Art and Ai
