Berklee Student: MMAX Single Release Party - Friday 11thâď¸

MMAX is a singer song writer from the Bronx, NYC whose music influences range from artists like Kehlani, H.E.R and Victoria Monet. MMAX likes to create music that everyone can listen + relate to. This new single is a dreamy combination of rnb and indie music, MMAX releases her debut single âGold and Silverâ on April 11th. The song is a smooth listen, with floaty synths and laid back drums. The song takes you through a journey of a person who wants to be with someone completely different from them. Instead of pushing them apart, those differences make the relationship stronger.

The White Lotus: Crazy People in Crazy Good Clothesđş
The White Lotus season 3 has come to an end, concluding yet another run of amazingly escapist tropical fashion. Though the characters themselves are far from enviable, their closets sure are! Letâs review five of the best looks from the season, danger and drama aside.
Much has been said about K-Pop star Lisaâs acting debut, but such focus on her glamorous past overlooks cute, casual looks like this!
Natasha Rothwell rocked this pink and green dress at one of the seasonâs many dramatically lit night scenes.
Parker Posey, the perennial parasol queen <3
These over-the-top hats deserve an Emmy of their own.
Aimee Lou Wood stuns in a fiery red bikini during a balmy pool day weâre all dreaming of right now.

This just in: Florals, and for spring. Groundbreaking. No, really â maybe itâs the near-end-of-semester yearning, or maybe itâs something else entirely, but in the midst of this lovely, muddy season, Iâm looking for those bits of green.
Whax âN Wayne Growing up, I had a fort at the center of a lilac bush, and Iâve been seven years old again every time I smell them. Itâs the kind of thing you canât capture â but Eileen Myles does. âIf / only I could buy some Lilacs on a full-moon night and run / here panting and wild. Be something perfect that doesnât count and change.â
Persuasion If I love Pride and Prejudice for sentimental reasons, I love Austenâs last-completed novel for complicated ones (and donât talk to me about the 2022 adaptation). Hereâs to blooming again, to those who make us âwish nature had made such hearts as [theirs] more common.â
âPeoniesâI just couldnât get through this selection without something by Mary Oliver, obviously. Read her, love her, know that âthis morning the green fists of the peonies are getting ready / to break my heart.â

A24 is SERIOUSLY Cooking
Nearly two years after breaking the hearts of moviegoers everywhere with Past Lives, filmmaker Celine Song is returning to theaters with another spell-binding romance, Materialists. The forthcoming A24 film treads into rom-com territory, following a young and successful New York City matchmaker as sheâs torn between two very different men. Ahead, we break down everything to know about Materialists.
The trailer introduces an original Japanese Breakfast song ⌠and Johnson as Lucy, a matchmaker who is willing to stop random guys on the street to see if theyâre potential customers. Some of her clients have very specific criteria (ânothing over 20 BMI,â âmore grownâ but still young), while others are a little more open (âIâm trying to settleâ). A friend and a celebratory cake inform us that Lucy is responsible for nine marriages â which is shy of Love Is Blindâs record but still pretty good. According to an official synopsis, sheâs âtorn between the perfect match and her imperfect ex.â Itâs pretty easy to tell whoâs who: Pascalâs character meets her at an event where Evansâs character is a waiter who already knows her drink order. One man sleeps with her in a $12 million apartment, while the other man lives with roommates but has a rich past with her. Sheâs entertaining both connections, but her overall stance on relationships seems to be getting more complicated. âI donât think Iâm very good at my job, anymore,â she says at one point, later musing that people get married âbecause theyâre lonely, and because theyâre hopeful.â
Materialists will officially hit theaters on June 13. The release date is sparking rumors that the movie may premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, which takes place a month before.
